Delight Yourself In The Lord

God‘s Word says that He “delights in” those whose ways are blameless; in the people who are trustworthy; in those who fear him, and who put their hope in his unfailing love.

But, His Word also says “The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delight in him.

Our daily lives should be all about “delighting” in the Lord. Grateful for how He blesses us. Humbled by His thoughts towards us. Faithful in our service to Him. Content for the things He has given us. Thankful for the mercy He shows us and the joy that is new to us every morning.

When we praise the Lord, sing songs of worship to Him; when we acknowledge His power in our lives and tell others of His goodness through our own testimonies – we are delighting in the Lord. When we say thank you for protecting you from the wreck on the interstate that you just passed, or hallelujah for the good report from the doctor – we are delighting in the Lord.

Every day, every hour there is something there is a way to delight yourself in the Lord. There is so much that He has done for us, that He has surrounded us with and that He wants to give and show us. The Lord desires our praise. I encourage you to lift up your voice, raise your hands and your eyes to the heavens and give God your loudest, best, wholehearted, fervent praise and worship.

When we delight ourselves in the Lord, we begin to see things happen in our lives, we begin to notice changes in our outlook on life, love in our relationships with others and with Him. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will delight in you.  Because when the praises go up, the blessings come down!
